I love the way all those different colored eggs look all mixed together like that. I'm curios. Is there any difference? Do tey all taste the same? Are the yolks different colors? Are some healthier than others?
So may questions, all from one picture. LOL.

I miss those days when our bounty of eggs look like this! All our Ameraucanas have died off so we only get brown eggs now (from our Black Star, Gold Star, Australorps, and odd hybrid hens).

They look great and no difference in taste or health value except the world of difference between them and store bought. :}

Hi Troy,
Vicky is correct. The eggs have the same nutritional value of other organic, free-range eggs. But my chickens probably live a much happier life and are pampered to the hilt.
As for flavor, I do find my fresh eggs to tastier than store bought eggs...just as a tomato tastes better when homegrown.
The yolks inside the eggs are all the same beautiful yellow despite coming from a green or brown or white shell. But when comparing my fresh egg yolks to store bought, my yolks are more yellow and they stand up higher and firmer.
You just can't get any fresher than picking a warm,freshly laid egg from the nesting box and walking a few feet to the kitchen! They are amazing!
