Thank you, Theresa, for posting this video. Susan worked so hard on it, and the weather was not cooperating with us that day (it was FREEZING). When it was all said and done, Susan did such an amazing job capturing what it was I was trying to say, and piecing it all together. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Theresa, how fun to see the movie on your blog! I know it made a lot of people tear up (the pansy scene is Rebecca's oscar-worthy moment), but this will make you laugh.

We shot the film in February when nothing much was blooming, so Rebecca bought a few one gallon containers of purple iceland poppies. We kept moving them around the garden to get some color, and it wasn't until I edited it that I realized they were in half the shots. So at my next party, I'm thinking we'll play a drinking game where you take a swig of beer every time you spot the purple poppies lurking at the edge of a scene.

AHHH!

Susan that is so funny! I am up for the game. Bring it on!

Rebecca-
What makes this video even more fun for me is that I got to see it live and in person. It is even more charming up close.

{Hugs!}

Okay ladies....drinking game and beauty...I'm in!!!

Susan

I really enjoyed Rebecca's story and the visit with her in her beautiful garden. Inspiring!

I loved that video...now I'm going to go back through and look for the purple flowers.

I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a guest post for my blog about gardening with children.

I am running a summer long series called kinderGARDENS, we have 40 participants with kids in tow! Susan is one of our judges for our design contest and Rebecca has already done a wonderful guest post about seeing our gardens through the eyes of our children.

I would be honored if you would consider it. Thanks so much for all you do to spread the love of gardening. Sincerely, Kim

Hi Kim-

Of course, I would be happy to participate. I will email you.

The video is wonderful. How fortunate to own a beautiful piece of family history. The memory will live on forever!

I do not have that many friends who like to garden. I only have all of my web friends. You all are much more advanced than I am but, I love the way you all share everything. I will have to view the video on the You Tube and I can't wait. I love your site and Congrats on you TV show.

Thanks Betty for your comment and for visiting. Yes, the web is a great way to share ideas and our gardens.

I came to see your blog after seeing your comment on the Seattle fling. I enjoyed scrolling down seeing your posts. For some reason, this is the video I stopped to watch. I'm thinking this is the Susan from the Bicycle Garden blog, so that's why I watched it. It was well done. I did not notice the moving flowers.

I am almost awake now, so need to get busy around the house, but I want to check out your website when I get a chance.
